"Walking Along in God’s Faithfulness"
Anthony had a productive week with some of his cohort buddies working on their doctorate dissertations in Seattle. With his busy schedule, this intentional time away to write was invaluable. He made great headway but still has some to go on his first chapter. You can pray for space, both mentally and in his calendar, for him to finish up here at home.
While he was gone, my Mom and I spent a day together. After so many months of her coming to care for me while I was sick, it was wonderful to have some quality time with her now that I’m healthy! I’m thankful for all of these little moments and find myself delighted with the simple pleasures of living these days.
I was reading Psalm 26 this week, and this verse jumped off the page. Thank you, Lord:
Indeed, your covenant love stands right before my eyes, and I’ve walked along in your faithfulness.
—Psalm 26:3 (translation by Dale Ralph Davis)
Prayer:
That God will give Anthony clear-mindedness and time in his schedule to finish writing the first chapter of his dissertation now that he’s home.
I have an abdominal CT scan on Monday to examine my liver. (I’m not looking forward to drinking the barium liquid beforehand!). Please pray for a helpful, clear, and “boring” report. And continue to pray that my liver numbers return to normal.
Without going into too much detail, I discovered something that appears to be a complication from surgery. I will ask about it when the office is open next week. Please pray for clarification from the doctor and healing for this area.
