Quick Update: MRI, Prayer
We are giving a quick update as many of you have asked how the MRI went today. Thank you so much for caring and your prayers!
The Lord gave her a good night's sleep on Tuesday (the first in a while). Though she was anxious about the close quarters of the MRI, she was very thankful for the medicine provided to bring calm. Sarah was relaxed the entire time. She prayed going in that the Holy Spirit would allow her to feel the "broad place" described in Psalm 18:19. And, of course, also praying this scan confirms no spread of cancer. We'll hopefully hear results in 1-3 days. The first part was clearly answered; thank you!
The most significant prayer request right this minute is the second part of her prayer, that the MRI would not show any advance of cancer beyond the original spot and would not have any ambiguity. As one friend said today in a text, "We need a W!" We also ask the Lord that some of the other necessary tests that will inform our treatment will return favorably. Would you join us in that prayer?
A second prayer request is for sleep. There has not been much of that these past two weeks, and we are weary.
Thanks for your chorus of prayers, and we'll leave you with the verse that ministered to Sarah today as she headed into the MRI machine:
He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me. —Psalm 18:19
