Complete Response!!!

Sarah and I were filled with anxiety about the pathology report this afternoon, so we decided to pray together. As we were praying, our surgeon called with the wonderful news that the pathology showed a complete response to the chemo and no involvement of the lymph nodes. No more cancer present!! This was an immediate answer to our prayers! This means no more chemo or radiation is needed. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

We are overwhelmed with gratitude and can't stop crying. It's hard to comprehend that Sarah can now focus solely on healing. Friends, we would have never made it this far without so many behind us on this journey, some of whom we’ve never met! We are thankful for your prayers, generosity, support, and meals. Thank you so much!

Please continue to pray for us, as those who have experienced cancer know that there are always more appointments and scans ahead, along with dealing with the side effects of treatment.

Here are some prayer requests for the coming weeks:

• Sarah is still in quite a bit of discomfort due to surgery and the four drains that remain. We visit the cosmetic surgeon on Friday and Tuesday to hopefully get them removed. Please pray for a lack of complications as she heals.

• We have appointments with the oncologist tomorrow and the surgeon next Tuesday to discuss the next steps and surveillance.

• Pray for Sarah’s liver, that it is calming down and that the therapy-induced hepatitis won’t be chronic.

• Pray we will slow down, rejoice, rest, and heal.
